Animal Resource Center of the Inland Empire Celebrates One Year with Community Open House
Free pet adoptions spotlight, complimentary grooming, local vendors, and DNA test kit giveaways mark ARC’s first anniversary on Saturday, July 11

ONTARIO, CA— The Animal Resource Center of the Inland Empire (ARC) is marking its first anniversary with a community Open House on Saturday, July 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at its shelter located at 1630 Shearwater Street, Ontario, CA 91761. The free, family-friendly event celebrates one year of ARC’s mission to find loving homes for animals in need and invites the community to join the celebration.
ARC officially opened its doors on July 1, 2025, and in the year since has found homes for 1,722 animals and worked to provide shelter, care, and adoption services for homeless and surrendered animals throughout the Inland Empire. At the July 11 Open House, attendees are encouraged to walk through our animal areas, meet adoptable animals, and connect with the local businesses and volunteers who support ARC’s work.
New Website Launch
In conjunction with its first anniversary, ARC is also launching its newly redesigned website, giving the community a more robust, user-friendly way to connect with the organization. The new site offers an in-depth look at ARC’s mission and impact, a full overview of the services and resources ARC provides, and a streamlined adoption experience that makes it easier than ever to find a loving home for shelter pets. Visitors can browse adoptable animals, learn about volunteer and donation opportunities, and access resources for current and prospective pet owners; all in one place.
Adoptions & Giveaways
Dogs and cats will be available for adoption throughout the event. To celebrate the milestone, ARC is giving away free DNA test kits to the first five adopted dogs and five adopted cats of the day!
Free Grooming for Adopted Shelter Pets
A team of volunteer professional groomers will be on-site offering free grooming services for newly adopted dogs and cats, as well as animals currently in ARC’s care. Participating groomers include:
Luxe Pups Dog Grooming
GG’s Pretty Paws

“ARC’s first year has been about more than finding animals homes; it’s been about building a community that shows up for them” said Clint Thacker, Executive Director of ARC. “Our Open House is a chance to thank the volunteers, vendors, and adopters who made this year possible, and our new website ensures even more people can find their way to ARC and to their next pet long after the celebration ends.”
